Let’s have a look at the articles that are going to be published in July 2019 on this blog. There will be one last one from Iceland and the Learning Adobe ® Lightroom series continues with another post too. But first the photo of the month, to cool us all a little bit down.

Photo of the Month July 2019

Since Europe is suffering from a heatwave – well most of it, northern Norway apparently got snow last weekend – I thought it would be good to have something to cool you all down. So this month’s photo is from the glacial lake of Jökulsárlon in Iceland. You can find the story of that day here.
The low sun of the sunrise is nicely reflected in the clearer sections of the ice, and in the water. It was definitively a cool morning, when I took this photo.

Chasing the Light in Iceland

The Chasing the Light in Iceland ends this month with a last article on July 19,2019. With that, we will return to Keflavik, and from there, I will depart home, after some adventurous and fun days. Post-Processing with Adobe ® Lightroom

Now that you all master the Tone Curve, we will explore the possibilities that the HSL/Color tab is providing on July 26, 2019. Here you’ll see how you can easily improve on, for example, the toning of the sky in your photo. However, mastering this panel will later also help you when you are preparing your photos for printing.

Website News & Glitches

I have finally added a Portfolio Gallery for my Bulgaria – Off the Beaten Track images. However, that did not come without a little glitch, when suddenly all galleries had this portfolio instead of the little thumbnail photos of their own images. Of course, that has been fixed now.
Also, I have changed the colors of my website a little bit, which I hope you will enjoy too.

There are some more changes that I want to implement over time. This so that you can enjoy photos in a larger size. That, however, is a plan I have for probably this month, if I can manage not to melt in front of the computer.

And then, you might have noticed it, the author name of the articles on this blog – as long as I have written them – has changed. Not to confuse, but I thought it was time for me to use my real name instead of my trail name. This does not change the address of my blog and website! However, after my last adventure I found that I have outgrown my trail name a bit.
